Dress Codes

The required attire for classes is listed below. This information will also be emailed to you upon registering for a class. Visit the Dance Shoppe at the studio to purchase any of these items.


Dress Codes by Class

Creative Movement (ages 4-5) & Kindergarten (ages 5-6)

  • Pink Leotard
  • Pink or White Tights
  • Pink Ballet Shoes
  • Tan Tap Shoes - Kindergarten Only
  • Optional: Skirt attached or separate


Pre-Ballet (ages 6-7) & Division 1A (ages 7-8)

  • Light Blue Leotard
  • Pink or White Tights
  • Pink Ballet Shoes & Tan Tap Shoes
  • Optional: Skirt attached or separate


Divisions 1B, 2, & 3

  • Burgundy Leotard
  • Pink or White Tights
  • Pink Ballet Shoes, Tan Tap Shoes, & Black Jazz Shoes
  • Optional: Ballet skirt
  • Optional: For jazz and tap only, black jazz pants or shorts (with tights under)


Juniors 1 & 2

  • Ballet
  • Navy Leotard
  • Pink or White Tights
  • Pink Ballet Shoes
  • Optional: Ballet skirt
  • Tap & Jazz
  • Navy Leotard
  • Black Dance Pants or Black Shorts (with tights under)
  • Tan Tap Shoes
  • Black Jazz Shoes

Intermediate & Advance

  • Ballet
  • Black Leotard
  • Pink or White Tights
  • Pink Ballet Shoes
  • Optional: Ballet skirt
  • Tap & Jazz
  • Black Leotard
  • Black Dance Pants or Black Shorts (with tights under)
  • Black Tap Shoes
  • Black Jazz Shoes


Modern/Contemporary

  • Leotard
  • Black Leggings or Shorts
  • Footwear – Dance Paws, Ballet Shoes or Bare Feet 


Hip Hop

  • Comfortable Activewear
  • Footwear – Dance sneakers, Jazz Shoes or Non-Marring Tennis Shoes.


Additional Attire Notes

  • Hair must be pulled up and away from face.
  • We do not allow baggy oversized clothing in class.
  • Ballet students may not wear dance pants in class.
  • If students choose to wear black dance shorts, they must wear tights underneath.

Class Cancellations

In case of bad weather, all class cancellations will be announced on Sunny 97.7 & KFIZ, posted on our Facebook page, and mentioned on the studio answering machine. Dance classes will be cancelled if the Fond du Lac public schools close or have early dismissal due to weather. Dance classes will not be rescheduled or refunded due to weather related closings. Students may at any time attend a class of their same level to make-up for missed classes. Please see your instructor for make-up class days & times.
